ST.GEORGE’S CHURCH, BRAILES - WELCOME TO THE WEB!
The Parish Church of St.George has been a central part of the life of Brailes over the centuries. It is a place where people have shared the joy of weddings and christenings, and supported each other at the time of bereavement. It is living history – an ancient building portraying Brailes changing past - but no museum, as today the Christian family gather to share word and sacrament in a building that is a beacon of faith and open to all. We are fortunate in having an excellent organist, Maddy Evans, a growing choir and that we are still able to provide the traditional range of services.
Service times and diary dates are provided below and and you can click on a picture gallery and historical information. Some of the fittings from the Methodist Chapel, which closed in 2010, have being placed in the north aisle of St.George's. United service are arranged from time to time with friends from Ss.Peter and Paul R.C.Chapel - a high level of ecumenical life has been taken for granted since the 1960s in Brailes.
