Brailes Cricket Club

A Brailes Cricket team? Are you interested?

Brailes has all the facilities for a wondeful village Cricket Club - pavilion, square (bit overgrown now) and even a few volunteers to play. But to make a club we need more people with enthusiasm and a little time on their hands to maintain a pitch.

If you are interested in playing, running, preparing a square or even just helping make the tea, please contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Just think... Upper v Lower Brailes a classic contest just waiting to happen!

FOOTBALL

Honnington FC play home games in Brailes on Sunday mornings and are sponsored by the Gate Inn. They are not part of a competitive league, but have weekly games on a friendly basis therefore attracting the more ‘seasoned veteran’ style of player.

Should you be interested in joining please contact John (07800 546022).

Not to be outdone there is now a Kids Football Group that meet every Saturday afternoon on Brailes Playing Field from 3pm. Come along and have some fun. For details please contact Paul Hoff email: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Did you know: Honnington FC were accidently formed when playing as Brailes Cricket Club they arrived at a match against the Royal Fusiliers only to find the cricket pitch double booked. For the sake of competitiveness they played football instead and so the football team was born.

GOLF

We are lucky enough to have one of the Cotswolds finest golf courses on our doorstep, set in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.
